"One can never have enough magazines or books" this is what I tell my DH anyway...lol... I too have an addiction to magazines with pretty covers and when I see them I just have to HAVE them.. There are many worse things in life that you could have an addiction to but magazines, chocolate and diet cola are not them. Take Care... Sarah x

Lucinda

I need a 12 step program for my magazines addiction.
That's what I use my Joann coupons for!!!

Becca

Um..... I probably shouldn't tell you this, but I see you don't have the newest issue of Romantic Country. It is filled with lots of pretty things; I just picked it up a couple of days ago (it is actually the re-vamped Romantic Living, which premiered a few months ago).
You know what you said about just sitting with the open book or magazine on your lap because it makes you smile? I do that. I thought I was the only one. :)

Gail

thank you! you inspired me to order two of the books you listed...they should be paying you for this! I ordered where women create...and Romantic home sewing. I have recently redone my basement and it is going to be my craft room...I hope to be inspired by where women create to finish my room!! take care, Gail p.s. are you from Minnesota? if so, so am I...I have been a dealer at the Buffalo Nickel for years...I had the big space just past the desk right on the main isle...please visit if you haven't already!

Kim

Haha! I want to get on that Amazon program!

I *just* got the Romantic Home Sewing book in the mail yesterday. If we lived close to each other, we could take a field trip to buy fabric for projects :)

Clare

I couldn't agree more! I love all the interior and vintage books - I have the French Inspired Home - and many more! As for chocolate and a magazine - oh yes! I love the look of your blog and have saved you to my favourite's! Clare x

Arlene

Well...I agree...there are never enough! And I find something new everytime I read them...now if DH would only agree!

annewithane65 (Kim)

Allison, you can never have too many lovely magazines and books! I was so thrilled today when I went to the mailbox and found my new Better Homes and Garden and Country Sampler magazines! I'm always drawn in by pretty magazines and books, too, you're right...there could be something worse out there...lol!

Marianna

I'm always telling my dh that he should be glad magazines are my only addiction. Think of the other things I could be addicted to...like diamonds or shoes or any infinite number of things that cost waaaay more than $4-6 each!! Enjoy all your new reads. I'm saving mine for the two-day trip to Texas we will be making soon. It's all I can do not to read everyone one of them right now!

carolyn

Chocolate, magazines, books, Hart to Hart - a girl after my own heart, and no you can never have too many books etc

Kina

There really isn't such a thing... somtimes I feel as if I'm drowning in a sea of reading material... and I love it:-)

Laume

I must, alas, disagree with your deduction. I believe it is possible to have too many books and magazines. Or rather, it's possible to have too many books and magazines for your living space. You look younger then me. Just wait a few decades. Sigh.
Of course this in no way stops me from finding and bringing home more books. I've become a bit more judicious about my magazine collection. But, there's a BRITISH Country Living. I'll have to go see. And now I'm off to check out The French-Inspired Home. You enabler you!

Jen

Ally, you are a girl after my own heart. Wanna be my best friend? But I must say that the question you posed in this post was just ridiculous. Too many books and magazines? Is that some kind of joke? If it is, I don't think it's funny. Just so you know. I spent a lot of money to have built in bookshelves put in my study to hold all of my books and magazines. I'm COMMITTED to buying more. I'm loyal that way. I have all the books you mentioned and I love them all. Good choices! I also still haven't received my new Mary Engelbreit and was contemplating doing the same thing you did, only I knew I wouldn't respect myself in the morning. I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only person in the world that hasn't gotten their copy yet. I even called them to check on it. I guess I can stop glaring at my postal carrier, assuming that she's been sitting at home with a cup of tea, reading MY magazine. Jen

Heidi

I love your chicken tea towel, or is at tablecloth? Did you embroider that? I love your new *look*!

mary walmer

I think we may have been seperated at birth...now add scrapping/stamping magazines to the mix and you see where my problem lies-luckily my accountant told me I can use the cost of the mags/books as a tax deduction because I own a Paper Arts store and I use alot of the ideas for classes and samples-can you believe it?? You should have seen the look on my husbands face when he said that..it was like " Do you have any idea what you have done?" Now I buy the books and mags without a second thought and file those receipts right away!
And i totally understand the sitting within arms reach of new treasures just so you can touch them once in awhile.
Putting your Blog in my favorites list since we are sisters afterall!

Sandy

You have a wonderful blog. I can relate to buying a magazine in the store when I can't wait for my subscription to get here. It looks like we like the same books as well.

I already own the books you have shown I love them with the exception of Romantic Home Sewing. I have been eyeballing that one on Amazon and am tempted. Is it as wonderful as the rest?
