« fairy cake recipe, tea parties, and summer bedspreads of yesteryear | Main | london & a crown »

August 16, 2008

Hello there Allison. I can't remember how I found your diary, but I am so glad that I did. It's such a refreshing change to hear fairy cakes described as such! (I am British of course!) I have a daughter too, she is just over two years old. I can't wait for the time when she and I can cook together in the kitchen. I've got a pink KitchenAid all ready for when that day comes! The pie looks wonderful. You are a fabulous cook. One of my favourite magazines is Country Living, but of course, it's the British version, so I won't get to see the articles that you have. :o( I am also lucky enough to be able to buy Martha Stewart Living each month, and a friend in the states sends me both Mary Engelbreit Home Companion and Victoria magazine. I lose myself for hours in both. Well, when my little girl lets me of course!
I have a blog, and if you would like to visit sometime, just email me at the address I have included and I will send you the info to reach me. So lovely to meet you.
kind regards

Inspired Housewife

I so love your blog, I have been reading it for ages!! Your aprons are fantastic! How do you keep so slim with all your fantastic baking!?

Liberty Belle

That pie looks truly scrumptious! Thank you for sharing!

Hi! I'm an Idaho girl myself and I actually saw that article. I was completely excited even though I had never even heard of Rathdrum before, but it's in Idaho, so that's exciting! Anyway, I just stumbled onto your blog and thought I'd say hi! I will definitely be checking back! :)

Oh my mouth is watering for berry pie now! Yummy!!!!

Oh You are back!! I had thought you had stopped blogging a while back, so I hadn't checked in, and for that I am soooo sorry! I can't wait to catch up with you!! Hope all is glad you are back!!!!

Love your blog! The pie looks delicious, especially with the ice cream. I'm a fellow minnesotan and am so excited to have discovered your blog - and someone from my neck of the woods. I went back and read your posts about the junk bonanza last year. So bummed I will be out of town for the one this year. I sounds like I love Buffalo as much as you do :) Do you have any other flea market/occasional sales that you can't live without in the Twin Cities? I'd love to hear...
Blessings, Kristin @ Pumpkin Cottage

Yummy! I'll be right over!

I promise, my mouth watered when I scrolled down to the sliced pie with ice cream. I am going to try the recipes. Thanks,

That pie looks delicious! I will definately be trying that as soon as I can!

I would just like to say I'm a HUGE fan of your blog! When I discovered it, I read the entire thing and was up until so late! All the pictures you post and ideas you have are so lovely! It's nice to find a blog from overseas (I'm from England) to see how different the houses are over there!

Hi friend! You've been on my mind so I stopped in to say hello and check on you. I hope you are well. Hugs, Jen

They have cute pie crust shape cutters at Williams-Sonoma and Pampered Chef has really cute ones too. Love your aprons!

Hi Allison,
Your blog is one of my very favorites. I hope you will post again soon. I find myself going back through the archives to see your holiday decorating touches. It's the little details you add to your rooms that are so charming. I am drawn to some of the same things. . . cloches, trophies, cookie cutters, baskets, etc. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.
Sincerely, Sandy

I loved him very deepladsfy and he loved me too. Though we couldn't have been more different from one another, from the very first moment that we met, he embraced me into his family and loved me as if I were one of his own.
