Ali, you have a lovely backyard--what an oasis of calm! I'm so glad to hear that you had a good weekend. I hope that your first day of your new job went well.

Thanks for sharing your relaxed ventures in the backyard. It makes me want to hurry up and get our backyard re-do finished so we can sit and enjoy it. Love the little lights on the umbrella.

I hope you had a good day.
I love your yard, and the fire is so cozy. I know what you mean. It is nice to just sit and stare at the fire.
Have a great week,

That looks like a relaxing and enjoyable time. And those pink roses are beautiful!

Sounds like a great weekend :0)
Do you happen to know the name of that beautiful rose you posted the pic of? I am a sucker for anything "blushy pink". Thanks :0)

I love your pictures! Congratulations on your new adventure :)

Your backyard looks so peaceful, I hope you enjoyed your first day at your new job.

I just found your blog! It is gorgeous and we share a lot of the same tastes. Congratulations on your new's too short to be held prisoner by a cell phone. Enjoy!

I'm so glad you've had the opportunity to relax. Your yard is beautiful and very cozy and soothing! One of my favorite things to do is have a fire in my copper fire pit, sit in my wicker rocker and have a nice glass of Chardonnay and look at decorating magazines. There's nothing like Summer evenings on the porch and in the yard!

Oh man, heaven!! A pile of lovely mags, an outdoor fire, smores?? Count me in next time!! (Oh yeah, I forgot. I live in Tennessee. Oh well. Road trip??)

Have a great week!!

What a beautiful backyard you have. It looks so peaceful, like the perfect place to recharge.

I'm new to your blog, and am enjoying it very much. Your home is amazing. Hope your new job is all that you want it to be. Thanks for sharing! :)

Again all the best as you begin your new adventure. I have a great feeling that this will be a wonderful move for you! We have a chimnea on our back deck as well. I just love to sit by it and enjoy the cozy feeling!

Congratulations on your new beginning Allie! May this be a wonderful time for you.
I adore your backyard oasis! I would love to have a is on the list! : ) Your fire looks so mesmerizing! What a great place to sit and read those magazines and books! The stress just melts away I bet...

What a beautiful patio, I would never want to leave! Those roses are so beautiful.

Now isn`t this just stunning!!!!!!

I'm going out today and looking for a stove!! We used to laugh at my Aunt and her family of 5 boys who would have a campfire in their driveway practically every night during the summer (they did live in the country though). I don't laugh anymore. She knew what was important in life and more so than judgemental neighbors. Getting away from the tv, talking and sharing stories, and just being together.(knowing where her children were!) So a stove and twinkle lights are on my list today! Gorgeous roses!

Beautiful rose, what a lovely, delicate shade of pink. I love your fire and the fairy lights on your parasol, it looks so comfortable and relaxing. Just the place to be reading The English Home:)

Ooh Allison-beautiful photos of your yard-it's so big!! I love your table with fairy lights entwined around it and a stack of magazines- can't beat that for relaxation!! I'm intrigued-what are s'mores? I've never heard of them!Your roses are also wonderful, and hopefully with your new job you will be able to enjoy a bit more free-time at home now with your family, instead of being held prisoner by your mobile phone!!
Hope the new job is going well-I'm thinking of you!!xx

That looks so cozy !!! I love your backgarden.
Those roses are so beautiful. They have the perfect pink color !!!

Your back yard is stunning....I would love to have even a little of that charm in mine. :)

I wish you well in your new job. Your former one sounds like mine of late...I've been debating some possible changes, too. It sounds like you made an excellent decision!

Allie, what a beautiful backyard. I'd be back there all the time! Very calm & so pretty!

Allie, I hope your new job is what you want it to be. The backyard, the kitchen, your bedroom - everything is so elegant. I love your decorating taste very much. And your pictures look great. I am so bad at taking pics indoors. Take care. Kim.
